About these pages
Sea creatures from the shallows to the deep: whales spouting water, dolphins leaping, sharks including a hammerhead carrying an anchor, octopuses with curly tentacles, seahorses among coral, crabs, starfish, a jellyfish with wavy tentacles, a lobster, an eel and a narwhal with a striped tusk. Sea turtles and mermaids swim through several pages, and there are letter pages for O, T, W and J.
40 of the 91 pages are easy, with one smiling sea creature and thick lines for ages two to four, 45 are for ages four to eight, and 6 detailed pages suit older children. Colour-word pages such as the octopus is pink and the fish is blue add early reading practice. For more, see the fish pages, the turtle pages and the mermaid pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
Which sea creatures suit toddlers?
Use the "Easy" filter for the 40 easy pages, such as a smiling baby whale, a sea turtle with spotted flippers and a big-eyed spotted fish. Each has one creature and thick, simple outlines.
Is a starfish really a fish?
No. Starfish, also called sea stars, have no backbone or fins. Whales and dolphins are not fish either: they are mammals that breathe air. Sorting the pages into fish and not fish makes a good activity.
How many hearts does an octopus have?
Three. An octopus also has blue blood and eight arms covered in suckers, which children usually love to hear about while they colour the octopus pages.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
