About these pages
Giraffes tall and small: a giraffe walking past a tree, one reaching for treetop leaves, a giraffe grazing among garden butterflies and several standing tall with patchy spots. A baby giraffe sits among bushes, a kawaii giraffe wears a hair bow, and a "What am I?" page shows a giraffe chewing a leaf for children to guess. Two alphabet pages pair a giraffe with a big letter G, one alongside grapes.
3 of the 15 pages are easy, with thick outlines for ages two to four, 10 are for ages four to eight and 2 are detailed, such as the patterned giraffe among acacia trees. A "Color me" page with a baby giraffe standing is a gentle first page. For more, see the elephant pages, the monkey pages and the animal pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
How do I colour giraffe spots?
Colour the whole giraffe pale yellow or cream first, then fill each patch in orange or brown. Leave a thin light line between the patches so the pattern looks like a real giraffe's coat.
How tall is a giraffe?
Giraffes are the tallest animals on land. Adult males can reach about 5.5 metres, and a newborn calf is already around 1.8 metres tall, which is taller than most grown-ups.
Which giraffe pages suit toddlers?
Use the "Easy" filter for the 3 easy pages. Each shows one giraffe with thick lines and large spaces, and the long neck is easy to fill with a chunky crayon.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
