Colouring ideas

Use yellow for the giraffe and brown for its spots, then colour the leaves in several greens so the treetop looks full. The trunk can be a warm brown.

Did you know?

A giraffe's tongue is dark and can be about half a metre long, which helps it pull leaves from thorny acacia trees.

Try this

Ask your child why a long neck is useful and to point out what the giraffe can reach that other animals cannot.
