About these pages
Monkeys swinging, climbing and snacking: a monkey hanging by its tail, one dangling by one arm, two monkeys holding hands on vines and another doing a handstand. Baby monkeys eat a banana, sit with their tails curled and ride on their mother's back, a monkey peels a banana on a rock and a kawaii monkey hugs a banana of its own. One monkey even peeps from behind a bucket of flowers.
Four alphabet pages pair a monkey with a big letter M, one with a mouse as well. 7 of the 17 pages are easy, with thick outlines for ages two to four, and 9 are for ages four to eight. Older kids can try the monkey family in a patterned tree. For more, see the giraffe pages, the lion pages and the animal pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
Which monkey pages help with the alphabet?
Four pages pair a monkey with the letter M, so children can colour the big letter while saying its sound. One also shows a mouse, another word that starts with M.
What colour should a monkey be?
Most monkeys are brown, grey or black, often with a lighter face, chest and hands. Use a light tan for the face, a darker brown for the fur and a bright yellow for the bananas.
Can monkeys really hang by their tails?
Only some can. Monkeys from Central and South America, such as spider monkeys, have gripping tails that work like an extra hand. Monkeys from Africa and Asia cannot hang by their tails at all.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
