About these pages
Penguins on the ice and in the snow: a fluffy penguin on snowy ice, a penguin with three chicks, a cute penguin wearing earmuffs, a chubby baby penguin waving hello and a simple outline penguin with open flippers. Christmas pages include a baby penguin in a Santa hat and a kawaii penguin holding a gift, and one baby penguin sits among flowers and sparkles. A "What am I?" page asks children to guess the animal before colouring.
6 of the 14 pages are easy, with thick outlines and big black-and-white shapes for ages two to four, and 8 are for ages four to eight. Several are learning sheets: a penguin colour by number, a colour by addition penguin, a simple penguin with a word label and the letter P with a pig and a penguin. For more snowy scenes, see the winter pages and the Christmas pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
How do I colour a penguin?
Most penguins are black on the back and white on the front, with an orange or yellow beak and feet. Leave the tummy white and add a little light blue or grey at the edges so it does not look unfinished.
What is colour by addition?
Each space has a simple sum, such as 2 + 3. The child works out the answer and colours that space in the matching colour from the key, which turns maths practice into a penguin picture.
Where do penguins live?
Almost all penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere, from Antarctica to South America, southern Africa and Australia. They cannot fly, but their flippers make them fast, strong swimmers.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
