About these pages
Life on the farm: a pig standing in a muddy field, a spotted calf in a meadow, woolly sheep and lambs by a fence, a hen with her chick and a carton of eggs, a duck and duckling by a windmill, a goat by a sunny fence, a donkey under a bare tree and a rooster with sweeping tail feathers. There is also a girl milking a cow, a chicken pushing a wheelbarrow of eggs and a donkey and sheep by the manger.
20 of the 49 pages are easy, with one animal and thick lines for ages two to four, 23 are for ages four to eight, and 6 detailed pages, like a mountain goat family and a curly-horned ram, suit older kids. Letter pages cover C for cow, D for duck, G for goat and H for hen. For more, see the animal pages and the bird pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
What are baby farm animals called?
A baby sheep is a lamb, a baby cow is a calf, a baby goat is a kid, a baby pig is a piglet, a baby duck is a duckling and a baby hen is a chick. Several pages show parents with their young.
Which farm pages suit toddlers?
Use the "Easy" filter for the 20 easy pages, such as a fluffy lamb standing on grass. They show one animal with thick outlines, so toddlers can practise the animal sounds as they colour.
How can I use these in a farm topic?
Colour the animals, cut them out and stick them on a big farm scene, or match each animal to what it gives us: eggs from hens, milk from cows and wool from sheep.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
