Questions

How do I colour rosy cheeks on a kawaii face?

Press lightly with a pink pencil in a small oval on each cheek, or rub on a little pink pencil dust with a fingertip. If the eyes have small white circles, leave them uncoloured so the face looks bright.

Where does the nutcracker soldier come from?

Wooden nutcrackers carved as soldiers and kings come from the Ore Mountains in Germany, where they were made from the 1800s. Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker, first performed in 1892, made them a Christmas favourite around the world.

Can children make Christmas cards from these pages?

Yes. Fold a piece of card in half, let each child colour a small subject such as the gift box, the bells or the tree ornament, then cut it out and glue it to the front.
