About these pages
Snowmen in hats, scarves and earmuffs: a waving snowman in a top hat, one in a bobble hat, one in a patterned beanie and a classic snowman with a carrot nose, scarf and three buttons. Kawaii snowmen have rosy cheeks, a candy cane or earmuffs, and a snowman in a Santa hat holds a present. Others stand inside a snow globe, hold a broom or slowly melt under the sun.
Some pages add people: a child wrapping a snowman's scarf, two kids building a snowman and a whole snowman family in the garden. 6 of the 18 pages are easy, with thick outlines for ages two to four, and 11 are for ages four to eight. Leave the snow white and save the colour for hats and scarves. For more, see the winter pages and the Christmas pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
How do I colour a white snowman?
Leave most of the body white and add light blue or grey along one side as a shadow so the round shapes stand out. Save the bright colours for the hat, scarf, buttons and carrot nose.
Which snowman pages suit toddlers?
Use the "Easy" filter for the 6 easy pages. Each has one snowman with thick lines and needs only a few crayons, such as orange for the nose and red for the scarf.
What snow is best for building a snowman?
Wet, sticky snow that falls when the temperature is close to freezing packs together best. Very cold, powdery snow is too dry to hold its shape, so snowmen are easiest to build on milder winter days.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
