About these pages
Hearts in many forms: a smiling heart face with shiny eyes, a heart wearing a big bow, a heart with little angel wings and two hearts side by side. A teddy bear holds heart balloons, a puppy hugs a heart pillow, hearts are packed in a glass jar and one heart wears a royal crown. Detailed pages include a heart made of roses and leaves, a paisley heart with flower patterns, a heart mandala with petal layers and a heart made of little hearts.
There are 8 easy pages with thick outlines for ages two to four, 6 for ages four to eight and 7 detailed pages for older kids and adults. Hearts suit Valentine's Day cards, but they work all year for talking about kindness and feelings, and the heart balloons colour match sheet doubles as a colour-naming game. For more, see the cute pages, the emotions pages and the pattern and mandala pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
When is Valentine's Day?
Valentine's Day is on 14 February each year, the feast day of Saint Valentine. Children often make cards for family and friends, and a coloured heart page can be folded in half and signed inside as a card.
How can I use heart pages for a kindness activity?
Ask each child to colour a heart and write or draw one kind thing they did or saw. Hung together on a wall or a string, the hearts make a class kindness display that works in any month.
What colours can I use for hearts besides red and pink?
Any colour works. Purple, orange and gold all look warm, and the heart made of little hearts or the heart mandala can be coloured as a rainbow, with one colour for each small heart or petal layer.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
