Colouring ideas

Colour the skull a pale cream or light blue so the swirls stand out in pink and purple, then make the marigolds deep orange and the butterflies orange with dark edges.

Did you know?

Decorated skulls, known as calaveras, appear on masks, face paint, sweets and decorations during the Day of the Dead in Mexico.

Try this

Pick a colour scheme of just three or four colours before you start, then repeat them across the skull.
