About these pages
Christmas trees from simple to grand: a tree topped with a star, a star on a simple pine tree, a tree with gifts underneath, a potted tree between two gifts and a tall tree with beaded garlands. Children decorate the trees too, with kids hanging ornaments, a boy putting the star on top, a boy hanging a big bauble and a boy sledding past. There is also a rocking horse by the tree and a happy cat hugging a Christmas tree.
3 of the 14 pages are easy, with thick lines for ages two to four, 9 are for ages four to eight, and 2 detailed pages, including a star and bauble tree mandala, suit older kids and adults. A kawaii tree with rosy cheeks is a favourite with younger children. For more festive pages, see the Christmas pages, the Santa pages and the winter pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
How can children decorate the tree pages?
Colour the tree green first, then add baubles in bright colours. For a card or classroom display, older children can glue sequins, glitter or small paper shapes onto the branches.
Which Christmas tree pages are easiest?
Use the "Easy" filter for the 3 pages with one tree, large shapes and very thick outlines. Toddlers can colour the tree green and add dots of colour for the baubles.
Where did the Christmas tree tradition come from?
Decorating evergreen trees at Christmas began in Germany several hundred years ago. The custom spread to Britain and became popular there in the 1840s, after pictures of the royal family's tree appeared in newspapers.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
