Questions

What colours are on a peacock's tail feathers?

Each long feather ends in an eye spot with a deep blue centre, rings of turquoise and bronze, then green and gold at the edge. Layer blues and greens and leave tiny white gaps for the shimmer.

What colours is a bald eagle?

An adult has a dark brown body and wings, a white head and tail, and a yellow beak and feet. The white head only appears at around four or five years old; younger eagles are mottled brown.

How do hummingbirds feed?

They hover in front of a flower and lap up nectar with a long, forked tongue, many times a second. Their wings beat so fast, often around 50 times a second, that they make a humming sound.
