About these pages
Turkeys for Thanksgiving and the farm: a turkey fanning its tail feathers, a round turkey with a fanned tail, a turkey in a hat among leaves, a turkey strutting past a barn, one nestled in a hay pile and a cartoon turkey kicking a football. There is a turkey balloon floating above a street, kawaii turkeys with big shiny eyes and a fork, a turkey beside a big pumpkin and four kids sharing a turkey dinner.
3 of the 18 pages are easy, with thick lines for ages two to four, 10 are for ages four to eight, and 5 detailed pages, like a turkey mandala with patterned feathers and an ornate turkey in wheat, suit older kids and adults. The turkey with blank tail feathers lets children write or draw on each feather. For more, see the Thanksgiving pages and the pumpkin pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
How can I use the blank tail feather page in class?
Ask each child to write one thing they are thankful for on each feather, then colour the turkey. Pinned up together, the finished pages make a simple Thanksgiving gratitude display.
What colours are turkey feathers?
Wild turkeys are mostly brown and bronze with dark bands, and the red flap of skin under the beak is called a wattle. For a fun turkey, give the tail feathers red, orange, yellow and brown.
Which turkey pages are easiest?
Use the "Easy" filter for the 3 pages with a round body and big tail feathers. Little ones can colour each feather a different colour, which is good practice at staying inside a shape.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
