Race Car coloring pages
95 free printable pages, from our car and vehicle coloring pages collection. Every page downloads as a crisp PDF in Letter or A4. Updated October 7, 2026.
About these pages
Race cars from every angle: an open-wheel racer speeding forward, a formula car with its driver in the cockpit, a head-on car with wide front and rear wings and a car diving into a corner. Older designs include a vintage racer with an exposed engine, a classic racer with the number five and a retro racer with a rounded nose cone. Fuller scenes show a race car on a dark track with grandstands, one speeding through a mountain landscape and a formula car drifting with speed streaks.
There are 56 pages for ages four to eight, many of them front-on and symmetrical, and 39 detailed pages with fine shading for older kids and adults. Children enjoy designing their own team colours, adding stripes and a racing number before shading the tyres dark grey. For more, see the car and vehicle pages, the car pages for adults and the truck pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
Why do race cars have wings?
They work like upside-down aeroplane wings. Instead of lifting the car, they push it down onto the track, which gives the tyres more grip so the car can take corners faster.
What is an open-wheel race car?
A car whose wheels sit outside the main body with no mudguards over them, like those in Formula One and IndyCar. Many pages here show open-wheel cars, with the big tyres easy to see.
Why do race cars have numbers?
Numbers let officials, commentators and fans tell the cars apart at speed. In Formula One, each driver has picked a permanent number since 2014 and keeps it from season to season.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
