Space Coloring Pages
16 free printable pages, gathered from themes across the site. Every page downloads as a crisp PDF in Letter or A4. Updated October 8, 2026.
About these pages
Astronauts, rockets and planets: a child astronaut in a spacesuit, a boy holding his helmet, astronauts floating among stars and bubbles, a boy riding a rocket through space, a round robot-suit astronaut and an astronaut planting a flag on the moon. There is a space shuttle launching past planets, a rocket blasting off past a UFO, a kawaii ringed planet among twinkling stars and a smiling kawaii rocket.
Almost all 16 pages are for ages four to eight (15 pages), with bold outlines and big shapes to fill. They suit early-years space topics at school as well as rocket-mad children at home, and the astronaut pages work well for dressing-up days. For other things that move, see the car and vehicle pages, or the coloring pages for kids for everyday scenes, from school to the garden.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
When did people first walk on the moon?
In July 1969, two astronauts from the Apollo 11 mission walked on the moon and planted a flag, just like the astronaut on one of these pages. Twelve people have walked on the moon in total.
What colours should I use for space?
Space is black or deep blue, so dark backgrounds make stars and planets stand out. Try white or yellow stars, a white spacesuit with silver-grey shading, and bright red or orange rocket flames.
How can I use these in a space topic?
Colour the astronaut and rocket pages, cut them out and stick them on black paper with white-pen stars. The ringed planet is a good prompt for talking about Saturn and its rings.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
