About these pages
Dragons from cute to fierce: a chubby baby dragon with small wings, three little dragons playing, two friendly dragons waving hello, a baby dragon on a beach and one resting on a cloud. For bigger dragons there is a winged dragon swooping down, two dragons flying together, a dragon roaring on a rocky cliff and a coiled eastern dragon with flowing whiskers. A grumpy horned dragon with folded arms always gets a laugh.
Most of the 16 pages are for ages four to eight (9 pages), with friendly faces and big wings to fill, and 2 easy pages have very thick lines for toddlers. The 5 detailed pages have scales, clouds and rocky backgrounds for older kids and adults. For unicorns and mermaids, see the fantasy pages, and for real reptiles from long ago, try the dinosaur pages.
Each design is its own page with a Letter and an A4 PDF, a description, and related pages, so you can print one sheet or a whole set.
Questions
Are these dragons scary?
Most are not. The baby dragons and waving dragons are friendly and smiling. The roaring dragon on a cliff and the swooping dragon look fiercer, so check those first for very young or nervous children.
What is an eastern dragon?
Dragons in Chinese and other East Asian stories usually have long, snake-like bodies, whiskers and no wings, and are seen as wise and lucky. They are a big part of Lunar New Year celebrations.
What colours work for a dragon?
Green and red are classic, but any colours work. Try a darker shade along the back and a lighter belly, and colour the wings differently from the body so they stand out.
Can I print on A4 paper?
Yes. Every page has a Letter and an A4 version. Pick the one that matches your printer.
