Colouring ideas

Colour the lattice strips golden brown and the cut filling pale yellow with light green apple flecks. Try a bright blue or red plate so the pie stands out.

Did you know?

A lattice top is not just for looks. The gaps between the strips let steam escape while the pie bakes, so the filling cooks evenly.

Try this

Count how many slices you could cut from the rest of the pie, and talk about who you would share them with.
